Coinbase's mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. Developers are increasingly central to this goal because they lead the way in innovating and diversifying the crypto ecosystem.

As Design Lead on the Coinbase Developer Platform, I architected an end-to-end design from the ground up. In partnership with product and engineering, we launched a unified hub featuring streamlined onboarding, guided workflows, and easy-to-use tools for monitoring and billing.

We modernized the platform by putting user needs first, transforming legacy terminology and fragmented flows into a project-centric experience. This new approach allows developers to create projects as containers and combine multiple APIs seamlessly.

In the spirit of Coinbase’s value of trust, we also added core tools like performance monitoring and custom alerts, further transforming the platform from a hub into a trusted workspace. These core features not only help teams build with confidence but create workflows that keep developers coming back.

This redesign delivered exceptional results: developer engagement increased 8x and API usage soared 200x. The monitoring service alone shows significant business value, projected to generate $6M in annual recurring revenue in its first year.
