Katherine Vidal

I’m the product design lead for retail staking at Coinbase. We try to transform user perception of crypto staking from a high-risk gambling to a safe and predictable investment. Previously, I led the design of Coinbase Cloud, a platform that gives web3 developers tools to build the future on blockchain.

At the Council on Foreign Relations, I was a hybrid between manager and designer—created immersive explainers and trackers about global issues like immigration and deforestation.

I started in the agency world, where working with a variety of clients helped me discover what I love most: product design. I’m motivated by laziness (user laziness) and am driven to make things as easy as possible for people.

When I’m not designing, I walk, cook with color, and rescue old dogs (who don’t love walking).
